Easter sunrise, pizza & icing on the cake…

Christ is risen!  Christ is risen, indeed!!

Today’s Easter is a little different for me than in years past.  I did attend a sunrise service (one of my favorite worship experiences every year) on the shore of Lake Erie and watched the Easter sun rise bright over the water.   Afterwards I came home to  finish up my last minute packing, enjoyed a delicious Easter feast of wood-fired pepperoni pizza (does it get ANY better than that??!!) and changed our purple Lenten outside lights back to bright white.

Andy the. dropped me off at the airport where I met up with my dear friend, Marie, who is also coming on the retreat.  Traveling and sharing this sacred adventure with Marie is a blessing beyond measure. We have known each since BC (before children) and have journeyed through so many of life’s ups and downs together. To share this moment with Marie is like icing on the cake!

Thank you again for your prayers and presence as we embark on this sacred pilgrimage. Please do let me know if you have any prayer requests (concerns and/or celebrations) to share. It will mean so much to me to be able to hold you close to my heart with each step of this journey.
